Prior to 1973 the output shaft diameter was 1 inch (doesn’t apply to the C-Body). This affects the pitman arm. This gear box fits both factory power & manual steering cars by bolting directly to the stock K-member and fits the original 1 1/8' pitman arm.Steering Gear – changes in 1973. Western Chassis is now offering a direct bolt on power steering conversion kit for your 1962- 1982 Mopar car. -The allen head adjuster screw for the sector shaft end play adjustment may rub on the frame when you convert the steering box to the new geometry, necessitating slight egging of the hole (shown in picture 3) provided in the frame.
